Local 5G

Local 5G refers to a method of usage whereby entities that are not telecommunication carriers such as companies or municipalities build dedicated 5G networks in some areas or in buildings or on sites. This type is called Local 5G because its use is limited to certain areas or users rather than being intended for general use. Possible methods of use of Local 5G include companies building dedicated networks on their factory sites to realize automatic operation by robots or remote control, or the provision of new spectator experiences using VR or AR in sports stadiums.
