Digital interface
Supporting the high-speed transmission interfaces of the future as depicted by image recognition and image processing.
Our digital interface products are mainly connector cables for use in the transmission of high-speed image and video signals. They are used in machine vision cameras, remote cameras, display monitors for industrial use, and so on, and we are pursuing high-speed, long-distance transmission and fitting stability.
With a view to developments in technologies that utilize video, Waka Manufacturing Co., Ltd. will continue to advance product development that realizes the high-speed transmission of high-resolution images in various fields, such as remote operation, remote medical treatment, drone cameras, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mixed reality (MR).

Features of digital interfaces
Analog signals deteriorate due to attenuation from cables, distortion from the mismatching of characteristic impedance, and EMI (electromagnetic interference). Also, the multiplex transmission of a number of signals using a single wire can easily give rise to interference. In contrast to this, with a digital signal, as well as multiplex transmission, it is easy to realize high-speed transmission, and to provide high-quality images and sound.
Waka Manufacturing Co., Ltd.'s digital interface products, including CoaxPress cables that conform with machine vision interface standards, are appropriate for high-speed transmission standards, and enable long-distance transmission due to low loss and low reflection.
Thanks to our unique mechanical design technology, we also have a line-up of products with increased fitting stability for connectors and convenient attachment and detachment. -
Types of digital interface
- CoaxPress cables
-
-
Machine vision interface standards are established by the Japan Industrial Imaging Association.
CoaxPress cables are coaxial cables from Waka Manufacturing Co., Ltd. that are compatible with high-speed transmission in both 10 Gbps (CXP-10) and 12.5 Gbps (CXP-12), and designed to enable the securing of sufficient transmission distances.
Our line-up of connectors features bayonet lock-type BNC connectors and compact micro-BNCs. Waka Manufacturing Co., Ltd.'s micro-BNC connectors are equipped with a unique fitting lock mechanism for increased connection reliability.
- DVI(Digital Visual Interface)
-
-
An interface standard for transmitting video signals from a PC to a display monitor.
Although HDMI has taken over the leading role, it is still used in display monitors for industrial equipment.
- HDMI(High-Definition Multimedia Interface)
-
-
It is a transmission standard for multimedia equipment that transmits not only videos but also audio signals together.
It is currently the mainstream interface used in many products.
- USB(Universal Serial Bus)
-
- USB stands for Universal Serial Bus, the most standard interface standard for connecting peripheral devices such as keyboards and mouse to a computer.
- Camera Link cables
-
-
These cables are compatible with the Camera Link interface standard used for connection between industrial cameras and frame grabbers.
Waka Manufacturing Co., Ltd.'s Camera Link cables conform to the Camera Link and PoCL standards and are available in MDR and SDR connectors.
- Ethernet cable(Ethernet)
-
-
This LAN cable connects devices that make up a local area network (LAN).
We can provide flame-retardant cables and other cables for industrial equipment.
- BNC (Bayonet Neill Concelman)
-
-
The bayonet connector is not a screw-mating connector, but a connector with a bayonet mechanism for easy connection and disconnection. 50 Ω and 75 Ω types are available.
The 50 Ω type is used for measurement and communication, and the 75 Ω type is used for video signals.
